Sandra is no FLUKE when it comes to expecting taxpayers to pay for a lot more than pills

Sandra Fluke was no fluke.  In other words, Nancy Pelosi knew exactly what Sandra Fluke was all about.

We just learned that Sandra Fluke has a real sense of entitlement when it comes to our pocketbooks:

"Sandra Fluke is being sold by the left as something she's not. Namely a random co-ed from Georgetown law who found herself mixed up in the latest front of the culture war who was simply looking to make sure needy women had access to birth control. That, of course, is not the case.
As many have already uncovered Sandra Fluke she is, in reality, a 30 year old long time liberal activist who enrolled at Georgetown with the express purpose of fighting for the school to pay for students' birth control. She has been pushing for mandated coverage of contraceptives at Georgetown for at least three years according to the Washington Post.
However, as I discovered today, birth control is not all that Ms. Fluke believes private health insurance must cover. She also, apparently, believes that it is discrimination deserving of legal action if "gender reassignment" surgeries are not covered by employer provided health insurance. She makes these views clear in an article she co-edited with Karen Hu in the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law.
The title of the article, which can be purchased in full here, is Employment Discrimination Against LGBTQ Persons and was published in the Journal's 2011 Annual Review."

Let me repeat:  This 30-year old woman is no "fluke" when it comes to sticking her hands in our pockets.

Sandra won the first round because Rush Limbaugh called her a bad name.  However, my guess is that she will become a major embarrassment as more people get to know her a little better.

Will Sandra Fluke call on the left to stop attacking women?

Thumbs up to Kristen Powers.  She is a liberal Dem but honest enough to admit publicly that her side should not throw stones when it comes to Rush Limbaugh calling Sarah Fluke a "slut":

"But if Limbaugh’s actions demand a boycott—and they do—then what about the army of swine on the left? "

During the 2008 election Ed Schultz said on his radio show that Sarah Palin set off a “bimbo alert.” He called Laura Ingraham a “right-wing slut.” (He later apologized.) He once even took to his blog to call yours truly a “bimbo” for the offense of quoting him accurately in a New York Post column.

Keith Olbermann has said that conservative commentator S.E. Cupp should have been aborted by her parents, apparently because he finds her having opinions offensive. He called Michelle Malkin a “mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick.” He found it newsworthy to discuss Carrie Prejean’s breasts on his MSNBC show. His solution for dealing with Hillary Clinton, who he thought should drop out of the presidential race, was to find “somebody who can take her into a room and only he comes out.”

Olbermann now works for über-leftist and former Democratic vice president Al Gore at Current TV."

And there is Bill Maher, the "foulest mouth" on TV.

I don't care that he is on cable TV (subscription rather than regular cable).  Maher has attacked Sarah Palin and just about every conservative woman that he disagrees with.  I am not talking about policy disagreements.  I mean foul attacks that should outrage any woman, no matter whether you are Dem or Republican.

Sandra Fluke will get her "15 minutes of fame" and make the rounds on all of the liberal venues.

I am hoping that she will be honest and tell liberal men that they should stop calling conservative women awful names, too.

Maybe both sides will finally stop calling each other names and we can have a debate about having the US government pay for your birth control pills.  The left can not win that debate and that's why they are spending so much time going after Rush Limbaugh.

Pres BO is under 50% and that's the number that really matters

We read a lot about head to head polls.  Frankly, they are not usually very reliable at this time in the election cycle.   We remind you that Reagan trailed Carter for much of 1980.

At the same time, we do know that "reelections" are always about the incumbent, as Barry Casselman pointed out in his fine article.  Therefore, it does matter a great deal that Pres BO is always under 50% in these polls.

As of today, Pres BO is up 45-43 on Rasmussen and in a 47-47 tie on the Gallup.  Romney and Obama are within the margin of error in every poll and Obama is always under 50%.

These numbers are not good for an incumbent.  Just ask any incumbent who went down on election day.  It's hard to get those "undecideds" back when they don't support you today.

The "under-50%" number is alarming because Pres BO has a few things to be happy about.

First, Pres BO has enjoyed sitting in the sidelines as the GOP beat up each other.  I understand primary politics but it's never good to see a family feud and our family has been "feuding" a lot lately.

Second, Pres BO has not gained much from the drop in unemployment.  The number has gone down 3 months in a row but most Americans are still very skeptical about the US economy.

Will Pres BO be reelected?  I don't know today.  However, we can say that the public is still thinking about it.  In other words, "the jury is still out" and that should scare the heck out of the White House.
