Sanders will not get a lot of Valentine’s Day cards from Democrats

It’s a sign of times that most of us want Bernie Sanders as the nominee and a lot of Democrats don’t.
According to Representative Tim Ryan, a Sanders ticket could cost the party 48 states.  I’m not sure about that, but 40 is possible.
According to Mark Penn, this is 1972 all over again:
Democratic voters enter the core primary season unsettled and uncertain, as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) narrowly won the New Hampshire primary — his second very strong performance — a move that could pull the Democratic Party to the far left and prompt a repeat of its 1972 electoral disaster. But the contest between the left and moderate wings of the Democratic Party is far from over.
Yes, it’s far from over.
Over the next few months, the establishment will try to stop Sanders.  They will fail miserably because the “Sanderistas” won’t take it this time.  They will bolt the party or force Sanders to run as an independent.  Keep in mind that the Green Party is out there and would love to put him on the ticket.
As for the Democrats, a wipeout may be the best outcome.  It will force centrists like the aforementioned Representative Ryan to take their party back and compete from the center rather than the left.
