Greta and pals need to protest in front of the Chinese embassy

This is great news unless you are a leftist who wants to blame the U.S. first and last.
Check this out:
According to a report released on Tuesday by the International Energy Agency (IEA), “The United States saw the largest decline in energy-related CO2 emissions in 2019 on a country basis.”
It sounds as if we’re doing just fine after we dropped out of the Paris Climate Change Accords.
I wonder how China is doing!
Our success cleaning up the environment is not surprising.
First, we are a free and democratic society that demands clean air and clear water.
Second, the international environmental movement hates capitalism more than dirty air.  These people are really leftists using climate change or global warming to promote their anti-U.S. agenda.
So can someone ask Miss Greta a question?  Why aren’t you marching in front of the Chinese embassy?  That’s where the disregard for the environment is!

On this day in 1786, future President James Monroe married Elizabeth Kortright.

Monroe was 26, a famous revolutionary and practicing lawyer.   She was 17 and quite a beautiful young woman.

The new couple settled in Virginia and had two daughters plus a son.

In 1794, President Washington named Monroe ambassador to France.   Soon later, the family moved to Paris and Elizabeth came to be known as "la belle americaine".

Monroe was the 5th President of the United States (1817–1825).    We remember him for The Monroe Doctrine and for being the last president of The Founding Fathers generation:

According to news reports, Linda Ronstadt is fighting some health issues.   We wish her well.

She was born Maria Linda Ronstadt (1946) in Tucson, Arizona.   Before going solo, she sang with The Stone Poneys ("Different drum").

We remember today one of her biggest hits.   "You're not good" was # 1 this week in 1975:
