Wonder how Democrats feel that President Obama is starting his jobs tour in Texas?

(My new American Thinker post)

President Obama is back in Texas.   He was greeted at the airport by our very upbeat Governor Perry, a man who is always selling Texas here, there and everywhere.

This is President Obama's second trip to Texas this spring.  Maybe somebody told President Obama that the White Sox are in town to play the Rangers or Astros.

Or, maybe he will catch a Spurs' game and see how San Antonio is booming.  It is a great success story because Mayor Castro (Democrat) can tell businesses from Illinois and California that taxes are low and public sector unions are spineless in a "right to work" state.

Seriously, it may be good for President Obama to check out Texas and see what we are doing right.

For example, Texas has the 18th best unemployment rate in the country.   We are doing a lot better than Illinois (50) or California (48).

Of course, you need to live in Texas to understand why businesses are moving here.

Texas has 3 big things going for it:

First, we like taxpayers NOT taxes.  We want people to come here, make money and enjoy prosperity.  We think that Texas wins when people are prosperous.

Second, we are not a heavily regulated state.   No one hates the Obama EPA more than Texans.

Third, workforce quality is second to none.  We have great companies and schools.

Let me join fellow Hispanic Senator Cruz and welcome President Obama to Texas.  Let's all remember what Senator Cruz said today:

"Texas continues to outperform the nation in terms of economic growth and job creation. The state’s unemployment rate has consistently remained below the national average, currently at 6.4 percent, compared to the national rate of 7.6 percent. Eight of the 15 fastest-growing large cities between 2010 and 2011 were in Texas. And as states with high spending and high taxes are losing jobs, Texas is gaining them. In fact, between 2006 and 2012, Texas gained one million jobs, while California lost 359,000 jobs. Additionally, Texas continues to receive national accolades for its robust business climate, most recently in a report released this week by Chief Executive Magazine, naming Texas the best state for business for the ninth consecutive year."

Benghazi plus IRS audits prove that the Obama campaign was in panic mode in 2012

Just finished watching a bit of Press Secretary Jay Carney get grilled by reporters.

Did you get the feeling that Carney was ready to submit his resignation and let someone else carry the water for this corrupt enterprise called the Obama administration?  I don't know Carney personally but I can't believe that he is very happy being the face of this story!

The good news is that the media is asking questions.    The media looked like the scorned woman who just learned that the man of her dreams has been lying to her.

The bad news is that this White House can't come clean.  By the way, it would do President Obama a lot good to go back and check out what President Kennedy did after The Bay of Pigs.  He took responsibility for the whole thing and put the issue behind him.

Today's story about the IRS is even worse than Benghazi.  This is what we learned today:

"The IRS apologized on Friday for inappropriately flagging conservative political groups for additional reviews during the 2012 election to see if they were violating their tax-exempt status. Lois Lerner, who heads the IRS unit that oversees tax-exempt groups, said organizations that included the words "tea party" or "patriot" in their applications for tax-exempt status were singled out for additional reviews."
Sorry but I have a hard time believing that the IRS computers just decided to target organizations with the words "tea party" and "patriot".

Sorry but computers are not that smart.  They are not manufactured with a partisan hard disk.  They have to be programmed to flag such groups.

Who programmed the computers?  Who made that decision?  I would like to know because this is very criminal.

Here is another item from the campaign.  Do you remember when Senator Reid made his remarks about Gov Romney and taxes?  It seemed like a totally irresponsible and ruthless remark at the time.

Was Senator Reid involved in this IRS episode?  Was someone taking orders from Senator Reid?  Was someone feeding him information about conservative candidates?

I don't know the answer but he was the one who brought up the issue of taxes.

It is shocking to hear that the IRS would target any group, left or right.

How desperate was the Obama campaign about its reelection changes?   The answer is very desperate!

They were desperate enough to lie to a mother about the death of her son in Benghazi and then the IRS story!

Maybe Governor Huckabee was not so crazy when he suggested that President Obama would not complete his term.

2013 and a good word about Price Harry!

We love Prince Harry.  We praised him for going to Afghanistan rather than using some excuse to avoid military service.

Prince Harry is in the US and spent sometime with the wounded warriors.  It was great and the pictures were fabulous:
"Dressed in his Army Air Corps fatigues and desert boots, the 28-year-old Prince, known as Captain Wales in the military, listened intently as he was given a briefing on advances in prosthetics after meeting the center's commander, Rear Admiral Alton Stocks. He was then shown around the huge complex by Dr Chuck Scoville, chief of rehabilitation, including a demonstration in a revolutionary Computer Assisted Rehab simulator. He watched as an double amputee army specialist injured on in Afghanistan - who could not be identified for security reasons - demonstrated what he had been learning on the machine which is used to help wounded soldiers normalise their balance."

He also attracted a lot of girls but that's what happens when you are single prince.

Benghazi got very crazy on Friday

You can't blame this one on Fox News because it came from ABC:

"ABC News has obtained 12 different versions of the talking points that show they were extensively edited as they evolved from the drafts first written entirely by the CIA to the final version distributed to Congress and to U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice before she appeared on five talk shows the Sunday after that attack."

This is either a coverup or a massive coincidence.

The problem is that the Obama administration did not come clean from day 1.  They should have told the public that it was a terrorist attack not some stupid video.

Didn't someone say that the cover up is usually worse than the scandal?  Yes it is!

P.S. We spoke with Barry Jacobsen, military historian, about Benghazi in segment 2 of Thursday's show:
