Ron Washington is certainly a candidate for "Manager of the Year" this season. He was overlooked the last two times that he took the Rangers to the World Series. He can not be overlooked this year.
Memorial Day is one the many "markers" in the baseball season. It is almost the "one third" point of the season, or roughly 50 games.
The Rangers are 32-20 and sitting comfortably in the AL West. They are doing it as a team since no hitter is having a super season so far. We must add that pitching has been solid, from Yu Darvist to Joe Nathan.
We will look at this team around the All Star Game break. Let's see where they are then but they are looking great so far.
