Spring and summer of 1968 with The Rascals

The Rascals had a nice run of big hits.   Some of their hits are real classics, like "Good lovin'" and the ballad "Groovin'".

They were Eddie Brigati (vocals), Felix Cavaliere (keyboard, vocals), Gene Cornish (guitar) and Dino Danelli (drums).  Felix and Eddie wrote most of the hits.  Dino looked a lot like Paul McCartney, i.e. look at the picture.

In the spring of 1968, The Rascals released "A Beautiful morning" and it was another big hit.  It was upbeat and fun to sing along.    Their next big hit was "People gotta to be free", a song that was released the summer that Soviet tanks invaded Czechoslovakia.

I just can't believe that it was so many years ago!
