Marilyn Monroe and the skirt scene

Marilyn's Monroe famous "skirt scene" was filmed on this day in 1954.   Her husband, the great Joe DiMaggio, did not like the scene at all, according to news reports.

It was from "The seven year itch", a pretty funny movie about a husband all alone and a pretty blonde upstairs.   It is a actually a pretty good movie.

We remember Gaylord Perry (1938-2022)

We say remember Gaylord Perry who was born in North Carolina on this day in 1938.  He died in 2022.

Perry broke with the Giants in 1962 and had some great seasons with San Francisco (134 wins).   Then he was traded to Cleveland to Texas to San Diego to New York Yankees,  Atlanta, Kansas City and Seattle.    

Overall, he won 314, completed 303 games with a very good 3.11 ERA.     He was selected to The Hall of Fame in 1991.
