Mamdani’s ceremony raises a lot of questions that Democrats need to answer.
First, do they approve of all of those dances, hymns and flags?
Second, do they think that the rich are really to blame for crowded classrooms and infrastructural decay?
Third, every Democrat should answer the question about whether the era of big government is over, or do they agree that more collectivism is the way of the future? Is Mamdani out of touch, or are they all of one accord?
So Mamdani had his day, and I saw about what I expected from a Democrat-socialist, or whatever that really means in dollars and cents. In the meantime, watch for the “rich” to shrink and for a few more police officers to look for a way of getting early retirement.
