See you in September, Hunter

See you in September, Hunter: The Hunter Biden gun conviction was the easy part. It was an easy case to prosecute and for the jury to finish. Frankly, I'm surprised that the Bidens didn't admit guilt and settle out of court. At least, it would have kept all that info...

Martha Washington (1731-1802): The first First Lady

Martha Washington was born on this day in 1732 and died in 1802.    Her husband, President Washington, died 3 years earlier in 1799.
Martha and George were married in 1759.   She was a widow with two children when they married.   The couple did not have their own children.

During the Revolutionary War, she frequently followed him and urged the local women to help feed, clothe and tend to the soldiers.
Overall, Mrs.  Washington was a private person and loved Mt Vernon, where the couple is buried.    By the way, Mt Vernon is a wonderful place to visit.

The Bee Gees, memories and a great medley

Over the last several years, we've blogged and posted about the amazing Bee Gees, or Brothers Gibb. (They celebrated 50 years in 2010!)

Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb started singing when they were kids growing up in the UK and then Australia.

Eventually, they got an international recording contract in 1967.

Barry was 20 and the twins were 17 when they had their first international hit.

Robin died in 2012 and Maurice in 2003.   Nevertheless, they left us many recordings or memories.
