Monday morning thoughts about the pipeline and terrorists moving into Latin America

Let's look at a couple of items from the morning news.

First, our economy has a "jobs" problem.   Unfortunately, employers are not creating enough of them!

Why would Pres BO oppose a "job creator" like the pipeline from Canada?  It makes no sense to me.

IBD has a great editorial about it:

"He knows it would create jobs, at least 20,000 directly and many more indirectly thanks to the multiplier effect he dismisses now but touted when he still believed in "shovel-ready" jobs that needed federal funding."

20,000 reasons!  How many more reasons do you need?

The second item is about terrorist influence in Latin America.  As we have posted before, the threat is real and growing:

"Terrorists from several Middle Eastern groups have infiltrated Latin American countries — especially Mexico — in order to plot and carry out attacks against the United States, according to an alarming exposé broadcast this week by the world’s largest Spanish news network."

Why is anyone surprised?

It makes sense that terrorists bent on harming the US would try to come in through the chaotic US-Mexico border.

We spoke with Bill Katz of Urgent Agenda about both of these issues on Sunday night:
