Mr. Mueller: I’d like to know what you are doing
For almost a year, we’ve watched Mr. Mueller lead an investigation about collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. It’s time for Mr. Mueller to say something and tell us where he is going. For too long, it’s leaks and more leaks, rather! I need to hear from Mr. Mueller.
I agree with Michael Goodwin:
The violent swings of the leaky pendulum make this an excellent moment to call timeout on the Mueller probe. What does he have, where is he going and when is he going to get there?Those are basic questions that need to be answered. The American people deserve facts instead of waters muddied by partisanship, innuendo and special access to biased big-media companies.Mueller’s team includes some active Democrats, and whether they are behind the anti-Trump leaks is, for the moment, beside the point. The point is that the leaks are creating a reality all their own about the investigation and the president.It’s time to clear the air of rumor and speculation and put the facts on the record. It’s not as if the public has been impatient.
Mr. Mueller needs to say something.
Unfortunately, the leaks are driving the story. We get a leak that Mr. Mueller is investigating Mr. Trump’s relations with a German bank. Then we get a leak about this or that. Now we have a leak saying the president is not the target of an investigation.
Too much mystery. Too many leaks. Too much confusion. It’s time for an update on what in the world is going on in Mr. Mueller’s office.
I have some questions for Mr. Mueller:
First, who is getting fired for all of these leaks? In other words, somebody’s leaking, and we know that’s a crime. Why doesn’t Mr. Mueller fire somebody to show that he won’t put up with any more leaks?
Second, why so many Democrats working in this investigation? Weren’t there any Republican lawyers to balance the team?
So we wait and wait. Mr. Mueller would do the country a lot of good to give us an update or conclude that there was no collusion between the Trump team and Russia.

The answer is Professor Alan Dershowitz, a Democrat who actually voted for Mrs. Clinton.
Whether you love or hate President Trump, please stand back and look at the big picture. We don't have a tradition in the US of raiding attorney's offices.

Sounds like China is blinking
Just saw this about China: "President Xi Jinping promised Tuesday to cut China’s auto tariffs and improve intellectual property protection in possible concessions aimed at defusing a worsening dispute with Washington over trade and technology that investors worry could set back the global economic recovery."
Sounds like China is blinking. The market likes it because stocks are doing very well.

During his questioning, Cruz tacked toward a different, earlier controversy, repeatedly asking Zuckberberg if Facebok considers "itself a neutral public forum." Zuckerberg said the company viewed the site as an open forum for ideas.Zuckerberg has very few friends in the conservative community. His treatment of Diamond & Silk, black young women who support President Trump is Exhibit A.
He then accused Facebook of engaging in "bias and censorship," quoting a 2016 Gizmodo story that reported Facebook routinely suppressed some conservative news.
"I understand where that concern is coming from because Facebook and the tech industry are located in Silicon Valley, which is an extremely left-leaning place," Zuckerberg said.
"This is actually a concern that I have, and that I try to root out in the company is making sure that we don't have any bias in the work that we do, and I think it is a fair concern that people would at least wonder about."
Cruz then asked if Facebook had taken down any pages from Democratic candidates or liberal groups like Planned Parenthood and MoveOn.org, to which Zuckerberg said he had no knowledge of.
Let me repeat: Facebook is in deep trouble.

According to OpenSecrets.org, a site that tracks political contributions, Facebook-affiliated donors have given liberally to candidates at the federal level – liberally indeed: Since the 2006 election cycle, they have given roughly twice as much to Democrats ($4.6 million) as Republicans ($2.3 million).Of course, Zuckerberg and others at Facebook can contribute to anyone that they want. At the same time, please don't insult our intelligence by pretending to be neutral.
In the 2012 presidential cycle, they gave nearly five times more to Barack Obama ($95,107) than to Mitt Romney ($20,100) - as Facebook was also evidently assisting Obama's online efforts. For 2016 they bestowed about 100 times more money on Hillary Clinton ($478,466) than on Donald Trump ($4,815), notwithstanding any help the latter got from Cambridge Analytica's mining of Facebook data.
As individual donors, Zuckerberg and his Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg leaned in to elections in recent years with thousands in donations primarily to Democrats, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senators Michael Bennet, Claire McCaskill, Mark Warner, Ron Wyden and Cory Booker, among others.
