Finally a UN story that I can get excited about
We learned that the U.S. is out of the U.N. “Human Rights” Council. And I say “YES”.
For years, we’ve watched this so called council make a mockery out of human rights, as Anne Bayefsky pointed out:
The Human Rights Council was the U.N.’s cure for the Human Rights Commission – presided over by Muammar Qaddafi’s Libya shortly before somebody noticed it lacked credibility.Other than the name change from “Commission” to “Council,” the other big difference was that when the the commission ended in 2006, its members included China, Cuba, Russia and Saudi Arabia, and when the General Assembly elected the members of the new Council, they chose China, Cuba, Russia and Saudi Arabia. (No joke.)Now among the 47 U.N. states calling the shots on the organization’s top human rights body are such human rights paragons as the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, Qatar and Venezuela.
Cuba on a Human Rights Council? Tell that to the thousands of political prisoners!
You have to love President Trump with this move. He is using our name, and hopefully our money, to point out that this council is a fraud.
Now, here is another idea: How about getting out of the UN and turning the building into a hotel with a view of the river? It’d be a smash!

Another problem with the UN.........
Remember that US taxpayers pay 20% something of the UN budget and this is how they say "thank you"............."UN poverty report blasting Trump, US for ‘hatred for the poor’ uses data from last year of Obama’s presidency".
It's time to demand more honesty from the UN.

Someone over at CNN has finally decided to challenge a Democrat: "CNN To Dem Senator: Did You Object When Obama Kept Unaccompanied Illegal Kids In Cages?"
It was a good question. There was not a lot of noise or concern when we saw those photos from 2014-15.
