Tuesday’s video: President Trump needs to stay on message

Stay on message Mr. President

Trump denounces statue toppling during July Fourth celebration at ...
It was a great weekend for President Trump and his reelection effort.  He is on course now and should stick to the patriotic themes from the Mt. Rushmore speech.
It’s obvious that the voters are done with the protesters and attacks on statues.  According to Rasmussen, 75% of Likely U.S. voters do not believe that Mount Rushmore should be closed or that statues to George Washington and Thomas Jefferson should be removed.
In other words, three out of four agree with President Trump.
The President should talk about this and stop tweeting about CNN.   The network is averaging 1.19 million viewers per hour and 1.81 million in primetime.  President Trump’s tweets only give CNN the outreach that they can’t get on their own.  Ignore them because they are not a factor.
The events on the ground are also confirming the terrible consequences of letting criminals burn your city or vandalize statues.  Over the weekend, shootings were up in Atlanta, New York City, and of course, Chicago.   It’s nice to hear the Mayor of Atlanta call out the latest shooting but she is a bit late.  She backstabbed the police two weeks ago and now her city is in a lawless state.
President Trump should remind the African-Americans, Hispanics, and immigrants in blue cities that their Democrat leaders did not defend them from the mobs.  Instead, they were talking about removing statues or repeating slogans.
Last, but not least, force Joe Biden to address these issues.  So far, he has danced around the issue because of divisions in the party.
I feel better about President Trump’s reelection this morning.  He can do it, but he has to stay on message because he has a better message and the economic news was encouraging.

They hate this country and they’re telling us so

It’s time to say it out loud: The mob hates the US.
Check this out:
Far-left protesters burned an American flag near the White House on Saturday and chanted, “America was never great” moments after President Trump finished delivering a speech at the “Salute to America” Independence Day celebration.
Video shows the flag being burned in Black Lives Matter Plaza, just outside the White House. Activists can be heard chanting, “One, two, three, four, slavery, genocide and war. Five, six, seven, eight, America was never great.”
The message is 100% clear.  They hate the country and did not like it when President Obama was in The White House either. So forget police brutality because that was just an excuse to burn up Minneapolis.  Again, these people hate the US and they are telling us by burning the flag and chanting this nonsense.
Finally, these mobs are on the wrong side of the US public.  According to Rasmussen, 75% of Likely U.S. Voters do not believe that Mount Rushmore should be closed or that statues to George Washington and Thomas Jefferson should be removed.

Was Bob Lind the biggest "one hit wonder" ever?

Who else can you think of? What other pop artist released such a wonderful song and then never had a follow up hit?

"Precious and few" by Climax may be a close second.

Back in school days, I had an English Literature teacher named Miss Marcus who had recently started her teaching career.  She told me that "Elusive Butterfly" was one of the best examples of pop poetry.  She was right and I have always loved this song.

It is one of my favorite 45s!

According to songfacts, the "narrator sees himself as a butterfly hunter. He is looking for romance, but he finds it as elusive as butterflies are to capture."

This is Bob Lind's "Elusive Butterfly" and those beautiful lyrics.
