She looks like a well dressed and groomed Western capitalist lady.
I don't see any signs of "food ration cards" or "voluntary sugar cane cutting" in Mariela's face.
There is none of the proletariat look in Mariela Castro.
She is Mariela Castro, the daughter of a corrupt dictator with a huge bank account in Switzerland. I'm positive that she grew up enjoying US TV shows by satellite dish. I'm convinced that she took her share of shopping trips to Western cities for capitalist dresses, purses & shoes. Finally, we all know that she never spent one day eating from the food ration card that Cuban mothers are forced to endure today.
This woman is a fraud. I despise anyone who gives her a minute of their day. Even gay leaders in South Florida see her as a fraud! They remember how the Castro dictatorship treated homosexuals in Cuba!
This woman does not deserve to walk in the US. She mocks our freedom, our constitutional liberties and way of life by walking on our land.
Again, Mariela is a fraud!
We learned today that Mariela is an Obama supporter:
"Fidel Castro's niece on Wednesday hailed Barack Obama's support for gay marriage and the loosening of US-Cuba travel restrictions, saying: "I would vote for President Obama."
Mariela Castro, the daughter of President Raul Castro, also lamented the "small group of delinquents" whom she said were preventing the warming of ties between Washington and Havana.
"I think he's sincere and speaks from the heart," Castro -- whose US trip has been denounced by opposition Republicans -- said of Obama's recent public endorsement of gay marriage.
"I think it's something that he truly believes in... If I were a US citizen, I would vote for President Obama," she added, speaking via an interpreter at her first public event in a trip to San Francisco."

The Romney campaign is very quick again. They are calling on the Obama reelection campaign to reject the endorsement:

to the people of Cuba and those who love freedom everywhere.”"
Frankly, this visa for Mariela has turned into a massive embarrassment for the Obama administration.
First, they issue her a visa and let her travel freely in the US.
Second, she endorses Pres BO.
Do you recall the last time that a member of a country's communist elite was allowed to travel to the US and engage in political posturing?
Yes, Pres Bush approved a visa for Mariela Castro in 2002. However, her visit was very quiet and she avoided contact with the press or political pronouncements.
Mariela's visit is a disgrace, an insult to every Cuban-American who's had family members tortured or imprisoned by the Castro brothers.
