Here are some primary vote numbers, according to Michael Barone:
GOP 1,543,574 Democrat 1,037,775GOP captured 60 percent of the two-party vote.Another number: Abbott got 59% or 2.97 million votes in 2014. My point is that there are a lot more GOP votes in reserve for November.
Big issue: If Democrats nominate Valdez, it will be a referendum on sanctuary cities. Not a winning issue for Democrats in Texas! We do not live in San Francisco!
