The Rangers have benefited from large home crowds casting ballots for their favorite players. At the same time, what's wrong with having fans vote for players on the team with the best record in baseball?
The Rangers have 3 starters and that's about right. I would have preferred Elvis Andrus starting at shortstop over Derek Jeter. I also think that Matt Weiters of Baltimore should be the starting catcher rather than Mike Napoli. So carry Napoli as a reserve and put Andrus as the starting shortstop in the AL.
The Rangers' other reserves include Harrison, Nathan, Kinsler, and the aforementioned Andrus.
We hope that Yu Darvish gets added by the fans. Perhaps there is still a way of putting rookie lefty Ross in the team. He has been lights out coming out of the bullpen.
The 50-32 Rangers have the best record in baseball despite losing 3 starters from the rotation. They are the most complete team in the majors and the team to beat in the AL again.
