This is what I read in The NY Times today. This is part of
their coverage of the
abortion vote in Texas:
"The Texas House of Representatives on Wednesday passed a
vigorously contested bill restricting access to abortion.......
Sorry but how can a 96-49 be vigorously contested? That's
almost 2-1!
Here is another:
"Senator Davis, whose political profile has been raised to
national recognition by her filibuster, joined Cecile Richards, the president of
the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, for a rally in Houston as part of
a “Stand With Texas Women” bus tour that will hit the vast state’s major cities
through the weekend."
Stand with what women? The National Journal poll shows that
women support these restrictions, 50-44.
My question is this: Did this reporter spend anytime in Texas
to write this report? Did he talk to any Texans?
