From A to Z, the Obama administration is overwhelmed by one
issue after another. John
Kraushaar is right on:
"Obama's second-term legacy is shaping up to be more about
avoiding crises than accomplishing big things. Salvage the core of a health care
law, avoid worst-case scenarios in Egypt and Syria, and don't get in the way of
his party's efforts to win Republican support for a landmark immigration reform
plan. It's a far cry from the idealism of his second inaugural. But at this
point, the president needs to simply show that he's paying attention to the
fires burning around him."
Things are so bad that a major portion of ObamaCare has been
delayed until after the 2014 elections. Egypt is a mess. The scandals go on.
The trip to Europe was a disaster. No one has a clue of what the trip to Africa
was all about. There is a strong anti-Obama sentiment in the streets of
Egypt.
Yet, he continues to say nothing about any of these problems.
He is governing on "mute" and the media seems content with it.
Maybe it's time for the members of the White House press corps
to burst into the Oval Office and scream "fire".
Sorry but it's time for the US media to catch a hint from the
European media and get out of the tank and start demanding answers.
Let's start with ObamaCare. Why has the implementation been
such a mess? Who is responsible? Does President Obama have the constitutional
authority to delay a law passed by Congress? Lots of questions that a news
media is apparently not interested in asking!
Let's go to the IRS scandal. Why hasn't President Obama fired
the people in the White House who didn't tell him what the IRS was
doing?
Let's talk Middle East. When will President Obama go on
national TV and explain to the American people what's at stake in the region.
What is our national security? What is not? same for Syria! Why did he draw a
red line and then forgot about it?
Let's go the NSA. Don't we deserve an explanation? Isn't it
crazy that we learned more from President
Bush's informal interview in Africa than from the current
commander-in-chief?
We deserve better from our president. We also deserve a lot
better from a news media happily enjoying the water in the Obama
tank!
