American Criminals Living in Cuba?

(My new American Thinker post)

Governor Andrew Cuomo is travelling to Cuba to look at some business opportunities for his state. We hope that he picks up a copy of a New York Post editorial regarding some fugitives from U.S. law sitting in the island.

They are sitting in Cuba because they've had the protection of the Cuban government.

They were treated like heroes by the Castro regime and continue to live on the island.

This is a summary of some of  the individuals in question:

Joanne Chesimard, aka Assata Shakur, a Black Liberation Army terrorist convicted of the 1973 execution-style murder of a New Jersey state trooper. In 1979, she fled to Cuba after escaping from prison.
Guillermo Morales, chief bombmaker for the Puerto Rican terrorist group FALN, responsible for scores of deadly New York attacks -- including the infamous 1975 bombing of Fraunces Tavern.
Cheri Dalton, aka Nehanda Isoke Abiodun, wanted for a string of “revolutionary” armored-car robberies. She allegedly drove the getaway car in the 1981 Brinks robbery in Nyack, in which two police officers and a guard were murdered.
The Obama administration wants to remove Cuba from the terrorist list. They can start by telling the Cuban delegation that we want these individuals back in the U.S. before we open an embassy or lift the embargo.

The family of the state trooper deserves that much!

So let's hope that Governor Cuomo understands that he is shaking hands with a regime that has New York-New Jersey blood in its hands.
