An obituary that tells you more about Lois Romano than Nancy Reagan

Are obituaries about First Ladies supposed to be political now?   Nancy Reagan died Sunday morning and Lois Romano couldn't wait to take a cheap shot.

This is from The Washington Post obituary:
"Nancy Reagan had an undeniable knack for inviting controversy. There were her extravagant spending habits at a time of double-digit unemployment, achaotic relationship with her children and stepchildren that could rival a soap-opera plot, and the jaw-dropping news that she had insisted the White House abide by an astrologer when planning the president’s schedule."
The Post has edited the obituary.   My guess is that a lot of readers objected to taking a cheap shot against a 94 year old lady who left The White House in 1989.

Just curious.    Do you think that a future Lois Romano would ever write that Michelle Obama traveled on vacation at a time of double digit unemployment or deficit spending?   One recent family getaway cost $ 70 million!

Shame on Lois Romano.    Why remind us that you did not vote for President Reagan in Nancy Reagan's obituary?
