It seems like only yesterday that Dallas was 7-4 and headed to win the NFC East.
Unfortunately, they went 1-4 down the stretch and didn't even show up to play in the first half of the NY game.
Who were those guys in the first half wearing white jerseys and helmets?
Twice, the defense could not shut down NY on 3rd down. The defense let NY set up two scores with poor tackles and positioning.
Worse than that, they showed ZERO heartbeat in the first half. Again, who showed up to play?
Naturally, the fans want to blame somebody and Tony Romo or Coach Garrett are easy targets.
Let me repeat: The Cowboys have lots of problems but Romo and Garrett are not among them.
My guess is that Jerry Jones needs to clean house and move some players. They also need to draft more defensive players and start building a defense that can play.
It was awful to start 2012 with that Cowboys' performance. However, that's what happens when you have a very young offensive line and a lot of defensive players who can't play anymore.
Get ready for a younger team next year: Twenty-one Cowboys may have played their final game in Dallas uniform
Speaking of Tony Romo, he had a great season but needs more support around him. Let's hope that Jerry Jones understands what he needs to do to make the team more competitive for the future!
