We remember Dan Haggerty who was born in Wisconsin on this day in 1941. He died in 2016 at age 74. In the late 1970s, Haggerty played a mountain man in the TV series "The lfe and times of Grizzly Adams".
It started out as a movie and ended up on TV. It was a real contrast to the other stuff on TV at the time:
