A word about June 15

We remember June 15:

We remember former New York Governor Mario Cuomo who was born on this day in 1932.  He died in 2015.

We remember singer songwriter Harry Nilson who was born in New York City on this day in 1941 and died in 1994.  He was 52 and died from heart complications.  His songs were just great.

We remember Dusty Baker who was born on this day in 1949 in Riverside, California.  He was a great baseball player and now manager.

On this day in 1938, Johnny Vander Meer became the only pitcher in baseball history to throw two back-to-back no-hitters.    Vander Meer went on to play 13 seasons with a 119-121 record.

"The chapel of love" is one of the most popular songs ever recorded.  It was # 1 this week in 1964.  It was also the only big hit by The Dixie Cups
