On this day in 1979, so called "students" stormed the US Embassy in Tehran. They were followers of the Ayatollah Khomeini. Days later, Iran's provincial leader resigned, and the Ayatollah Khomeini, the leader of Iran's fundamentalist revolutionaries, took full control of the country—and the fate of the hostages. Iran has been a mess ever since! It is a radical regime and a threat to the region.
