Maybe this is why so few Democrats showed up in the runoff. Look at this story:
"Even in the close-knit circles of Texas liberals, Lupe Valdez, the Democratic nominee for governor, conjures up a disparate set of opinions — far from the united front the candidate wants to evoke."
In other words, she is not turning on Democrats. It explains the party's terrible runoff turnout was a month ago: "Democrats have lowest voter turnout in Texas in nearly 100 years"!
