"Peggy Sue" was one of Buddy's big hits.
We learned that Peggy Sue Gerron was born on this day in 1940 and died in 2018. She was a young woman in Lubbock and the inspiration for the song.
Peggy Sue and Buddy were not romantically involved. It was actually drummer Jerry Allison who eventually married Peggy Sue.
