As of today, the American League has 3 teams on a pace to win 100 games: Boston (.689 or 111 wins), Houston (.647 or 104), and New York (.646 or 104). The LA Angels are in the high 90's or a .600 pace.
On the other end, the AL has 3 teams on a pace to lose 100 games: Baltimore (.284 or 116 losses), KC (.303 or 113), Chicago (.354 or 105). Texas (.416) and Detroit (.422) are going to lose over 90 games.
What's going on? I don't recall another season in recent memory with a similar situation.
More than likely, some of these teams will cool off or play better in the last two months. Nevertheless, such lack of parity is bad for the game.
