If you need a break from the Democrats misbehaving at the SOTU, then let me recommend a book about Mickey Mantle: The Last Boy: Mickey Mantle and the End of America’s Childhood.. Well, I am not sure if it was the end of our childhood, but many of us grew up loving Mickey Mantle. In my case, I don’t remember him in the 1950’s but do recall hearing of his home runs and speed. One of his longest came against Cuban pitcher Pedro Ramos in 1956, and I can still remember my late father smoking a cigar, drinking Cuban coffee, and joking about that shot.
