The US Senate voted for the fence in 2006. After that, Senator Durbin wanted to consult with Mexico prior to building the fence.
This is not a joke. This is true.
That's sweet. Senator Durbin is such a sweet man.
In a perfect world, neighbors should talk about their problems and border disputes.
However, we do not live in a perfect world.
We live in a world where the Mexican political class won't fix Mexico. Instead, they encourage their citizens to go north, get amnesty and send back lots of "dolares"!
Thankfully, the House killed the silly provision.
