Happy Birthday Dave Clark. He was born in Tottenham, North London, on this day in 1942.
Clark was the leader of The Dave Clark 5, a great British band that followed The Beatles to the US in 1964. In fact, they were probably the second biggest band in those early days of the British Invasion.
Dave was a great drummer and the band recorded some super songs. They put 17 songs in the Billboard Top 40! I believe that "Because", a ballad, was their best selling record.
