Soon enough, we will have to fight entitlements rather than global warming.
We have avoided the issue although President Bush did put a plan on the table back in 2005. Unfortunately, it was shot down by Democrats who were more interested in rhetoric than solutions.
So what's the solution? There isn't an easy one. This is why politicians would rather punt than go for the first down.
Let's be honest: A future President won't have the option of passing the problem to the next one.
