Before every game 7, I am reminded of 1991. Do you remember when the Twins and Braves went into extra innings, or the Marlins-Indians in 1997 or other great games in recent baseball history.
We can safely add this one to that list of classic games that we will enjoy for years to come.
In the end, Chicago beat Cleveland. However, it was more than that. We got to enjoy the best of baseball and the country. It didn't matter who you were voting for last night. All that mattered was the Indians and Cubs.
Congratulations to Chicago and their first title since 1908. I doubt that there is anyone living who remember that series many years ago.
Enjoy it Chicago. Enjoy it Cleveland, too. My guess is that we will see these two young teams in the post season many more times.
