Obama and scandals: Obama always in the dark!

(My new American Thinker post)

The "scandal a day" Obama administration gave us something else to react to:

"The Justice Department secretly obtained two months of telephone records of reporters and editors for The Associated Press in what the news cooperative's top executive called a "massive and unprecedented intrusion" into how news organizations gather the news."

To be fair, we want the government to punish those who leak national security secrets.  "Leaks" put our people at risk.  The men and women who do these dangerous jobs deserve a government that will prosecute "leakers".

What amazes me about the AP story is that the White House is once again in the dark.

Sorry but this does not pass the smell test.

Does Jay Carney want me to believe that AG Holder can seize AP telephones records over an alleged national security "leak" and not mention it to President Obama?

Sorry but I am confused!

What's next?  Secretary Hagel announces that troops are going to Syria
and the White House learns about it on the front pages of newspapers?

When will Jay Carney walk into the Oval Office and tell President Obama that he is done making a fool of himself?
