A+ for Cruz: Obama wants the issue not "reforma"

(My new American Thinker postSenator Cruz has been rather direct since he landed in Washington.  Thank God for his bluntness, specially what he just said about President Obama and immigration reform:

""President Obama does not want an immigration bill to pass," Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) told CBS News' Jan Crawford in an interview that aired on Wednesday. "I think that the president wants to campaign on immigration reform in 2014 and 2016. And I think the reason that the White House is insisting on a path to citizenship for those who are here illegally is because the White House knows that insisting on that is very likely to scuttle the bill.""

Well said Senator Cruz!

President Obama has always been a demagogue rather than a statesman on the topic of immigration reform.

He was one of a few Democrat Senators who killed the McCain-Kennedy proposal in 2007 with poison amendments over guest worker visas.

As President, he never proposed or put a specific idea on the table.  He has never called on Senate Democrat majorities to vote on immigration reform.

Cruz is "correcto".  Obama wants the issue.  He wants something to talk to "hispanos" about!  He does not want to  explain the high unemployment rate in Hispanic districts and the lousy public schools in big cities brought to Hispanic parents by the Democrats and the public teachers' unions.

Keep talking Senator Cruz.  I like what you are saying!
