I guess that I must part of the 91%

We've been complaining about polls for some time.

First, there are just too many polls of random or registered voters.  They are worthless.

Second, who are these pollsters talking to?  Who answers their phone anymore?  Who takes calls from numbers that you don't recognize?  Who has a land line anymore?

Third, there are too many problems with samples or too much oversampling of Democrats.

There is a PJ Media story about polls and it is eye-opening:

"One of the most amazing — and significant — statistics of this election season has gone almost completely unnoticed:
Only 9% of sampled households gave an answer to pollsters in 2012:
It has become increasingly difficult to contact potential respondents and to persuade them to participate. The percentage of households in a sample that are successfully interviewed – the response rate – has fallen dramatically. At Pew Research, the response rate of a typical telephone survey was 36% in 1997 and is just 9% today."
My guess is that "polling" needs to be revisited after this election.  We need a better way to measure public opinion.
