Serious journalism? The Washington Post puts a 1965 Romney story on the front page.....

How desperate is The Washington Post for front page material?

After all, is there anything happening in Syria, Iran or Russia?  I guess there is no news out of The Middle East either.

Beyond that, isn't the US economy just doing great?

We hear that Europe is an economic paradise.  Everybody is just feeling great over the ocean.

We are no longer waiting for AG Holder to tell  us how 2,000 high powered guns ended up in the hands of Mexican cartels.

The US Senate has passed a budget after 3 years of inactivity.  Pres BO has finally put serious proposals on the table.

There are no issues of consequence anymore.

So I guess that there is no newsworthy material over at The Washington Post.

It's such a tough week that they sent a pack of reporters to dig up a 47-year old story about Mitt Romney.

I guess that Mitt Romney was such a "bad kid".....wasn't he?

The Washington Post is a joke for several reasons:

1) We don't even know if the incident happened.   The "victim" is dead and his family is attacking The Washington Post for using him for political reasons.

2) What is the relevance something that happened in 1965 to 2012?  Will The Washington Post do similar inquiries into Pres BO's youth?

3) The real loser is serious journalism.  We need serious journalists doing serious work.  This is not serious work.  There is no pattern of bad behavior in Mitt Romney's adult life.  On the contrary, Mitt Romney's life is free of personal or business scandals.

Again, the real loser is journalism.
