Dear Hispanos: Pres BO won't take you seriously as long you keep drinking the Kool Aid!

Another press conference and Pres BO did what he does best:  He spoke in vague terms and blamed somebody else!

Pres BO once again called for some type of "immigration reform".   He has been doing that since the campaign and every year at "5 de Mayo" celebrations.  (Check your calendar because there is another one coming in about 2 months)

However, the reporter who asked the question did not follow up Pres BO's vague and insincere statements with some simple questions:

1) Why didn't Pres BO publicly call on Dem majorities in 2009-10 to send him an immigration reform bill to sign?  The truth is that he didn't or submit a proposal.

2) Why did the Dem Congress WAIT to vote for The Dream Act UNTIL after the 2010 election or during the "lame duck" session?  Why did Pres BO allow the Dem majority to avoid the issue before the elections?

The answer is simple:  All of this talk about immigration reform and "si se puede" was a very cynical campaign ploy to get votes.

I hope that "hispanos" are catching up to the reality that Pres BO is not going to them very seriously as long as they keep voting Dem no matter what.

Here is the bottom line:  Pres BO has not done "any heavy lifting" to fulfill the campaign promises because "hispanos" don't hold him accountable.

Sadly, it will continue as long as "hispanos" keep drinking the Kool Aid and voting Dem like little robots on election day.

Hispanos need to take elections seriously and exercise their electoral power.

Hispanos should remember that they don't have to vote for the guy who cynically tells them what they want to hear and does nothing about it.   In other words, elections are about choices not pushing the same button every time.
