Democrats: Be careful what you ask for
We are watching the political equivalent of a blitz against President Trump. In other words, they are throwing everything that they have at him.
My guess is that they are trying to make it difficult for many Republicans to continue their support. They may also be hoping that a committee of wise GOP men walks over to the Oval Office and tell the President that it’s over, i.e. Nixon 1974!
A good example of this thinking may be Thursday’s editorial in the Dallas Morning News:
At some point, we won’t be alone in pointing out that the chaos Trump seems to relish creating is actually swamping his presidency.
Time will tell where all of this goes, but I think that Democrats are the ones who may end up losing big time.
Be careful, Democrats, and remember what happened after that famous recording in the bus was introduced during the 2016 election.
Wonder how many outraged and indignant Democrat women predicted what would happen? My guess is that none of them did.
First, Donald Trump was elected president of the U.S. by many women who were willing to look beyond the character issue.
More importantly, the biggest casualties were Democrats:
a) Harvey Weinstein, the big friend of the Clintons and Obamas, was brought down, and there is apparently more coming, because of the new standards of “Me-too”;
b) Senator Al Franken, a big hero of the left, is now out of the politics; and,
c) Keith Ellison may be out of a job, too. Even the DNC is apparently “distancing” itself from the Ellison story.
Now, they allegedly want to go after the Trump Foundation and the family.
Do they really want to throw the books at the Foundation and the family members? My guess is that the Clintons would rather not see that because they have a Foundation in New York, too.
So be careful, Democrats. You may get what you want!

Thank you girls. Thank you for telling us that you voted for the guy who carried 19 states and 20% of the counties. It must be nice to know that! After all, Bush got 51% of the popular vote in 2004 which is higher than any Democrat except for LBJ in '64. Clinton, Carter nor JFK ever got 51% of the popular vote!
Beyond Dixie Chicks and now the "Bridge Chicks", it must be embarrassing for the left to see what they have created. (See "Buck Fush" and the Left By Dennis Prager)
Over the last two years, I've had my share of discussions with Bush haters. What do have they common? They'd rather blame everything on Bush. It's all about Bush.

But I thought that talking about Trump sparked the blue wave?
This is interesting: "Democrats’ fall strategy: Stop talking Trump".
According to the story, the Democrats want to talk about what we've come to know as "kitchen table" issues, or health care premiums or taxes or schools. No impeachment, no Russia collusion, no porn stars....etc.
On the surface, it makes sense. In other words, people have tuned out the daily scandal machine. As a Democrat once said, the people obsessed with the Russia connection are already voting Democrat.
The challenge is this: Can they get their base to talk about anything but Trump? It will be difficult!

First, President Clinton issues last minute pardons. Years later, the "pardonees" contribute to Hillary Clinton's campaign.

Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., according to campaign finance records examined by ABC News, in what some good government groups said created an appearance of impropriety.
"It's not illegal," Melanie Sloan, executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, told ABC News.
"But, of course, it's inappropriate and she should return the money. It does raise the appearance that this is payback." (Pardon Me?)
I guess that "pardonees" are people, too.
No one is suggesting that they don't have the right to pick up their lives and support candidates. However, I think that it's rather convenient that so many of them are contributing to the Hillary Clinton campaign.

Today, Hoven has another good one: Worse and Worser
"In Reagan's eight years, 1981-88, the deficit averaged 2.4% of GDP, with the worst year being 6.0%.
Under George W. Bush, 2001-2008, the deficit averaged 2.0% of GDP, with the worst year being 3.6%.
Now let's look at CBO's forecast of Obama's deficits for 2009-2016.
The average deficit will be 6.3% of GDP, with a worst case of 13% and a best case of 3.9%.
And these are the rosy predictions, the June predictions -- before being updated in August as the baseline scenario was.
Do you get the size and endurance differences?
Obama's average will be worse than Reagan's worst single year.
Obama's best will be worse than Bush's worst single year.
Obama's average will, in fact, be worse than any year since 1930 except for World War II.
That means unprecedented in peacetime."
