Governor Murphy MIA.........
Back in November, New Jersey elected Democrat Phil Murphy as governor. It was a rejection of Republican Chris Christie’s stupid behavior and not much more.
We thought last November that Governor-Elect Murphy would soon be very unpopular.
Why? Because New Jersey is another ungovernable blue state. There are no “blue” solutions for a place like New Jersey. They need a change rather than more of the same “blues” that got them into this mess.
So we just found out that Governor Murphy is out of town, or more like out of the country:
His constituents are complaining about the state’s crumbling transit system. His own party wants to strip him of gubernatorial powers. The soccer team he owns is living in dire conditions, and one of his sons has been in trouble with the law.What’s a newly elected governor with no experience in elected office to do? He takes a vacation far, far away.New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy raised eyebrows last week as he embarked on a swanky 11-day trip to Italy, where he owns a $7 million home he bought during his 23-year stint at Goldman Sachs.
Over the last few months, Governor Murphy joined the resistance, the place where many Democrats go to avoid talking about reality.
Unfortunately, the resistance has no solutions for the crumbling transit system, lousy public schools, cities overwhelmed by debt, taxpayers moving to Texas, etc.
Another blue state beyond repair? Yes. I think that the governor is telling us that with his “vacation” to Italy.

And then we hear that Hispanic support for Trump is up to 10 points!
Trump is up to 10 points with Hispanics, or so we hear:
A recent Harvard/Harris poll recorded a 10-point spike in Hispanic support for Mr. Trump!We are not hearing much about this poll. At the same time, it does not surprise me to see Hispanics favoring a president who has lowered their unemployment rates.

Ted Cruz will win by 10 points!
Another day and another round of polls suggesting that the Cruz-O'Rourke US Senate race is a dead heat or closer than it should be.
It makes no sense. Let's look at voters and not poll samples.
Back in March, or the Texas primary, Senator Cruz got 1.3 million votes in a contest without promotion or suspense.
On the other hand, Representative O'Rourke got 641 thousand votes but lost almost 40% to a couple of unknown candidates who spent nothing.
In total, 1.4 million GOP votes versus almost 1 million Democrats.
I should add that many Republicans did not turn out at all because of the lack of competitive races. My point is that a lot more than 1.3 million Republicans will vote in November. For example, Cruz got 4 million votes in 2012!
So how do we hear that this is now a close race?
The answer is that it is not! Senator Cruz will win by 10 points.
