Bad day for President Trump but worse day for his critics
Let’s be honest, it was not a good press conference for President Trump. As my friend Barry Casselman said, it “was simply and inexcusably a blunder.”
I was not expecting President Trump to yell at Putin on the world stage. However, he could have expressed himself differently.
It was not the end of the world as we know it. The sky and the stars are not falling. Finally, let’s give this meeting a few months and see what comes out of it.
At the same time, his critics always end up throwing President Trump a lifesaver, as Liz Peek wrote:
Trump’s critics responded with customary vitriol and excess, attacking the president in such extreme terms that his supporters only dig in even deeper.Democrats and never-Trumpers cannot help themselves; over the past two years, the public has grown weary of the non-stop, five-alarm fires, and they have tuned out.
Trump’s critics fail the most basic of tests. You can’t cry wolf over and over again without making a fool out of yourself.
Furthermore, the Trump critics overlook the fact that President Obama did nothing about the Russian threat or that he mocked Governor Romney in 2012.
If Russia was such a threat, where was the Obama administration?
Why did this threat become an issue the night that Hillary Clinton lost the election, the moment when the Democrats needed an explanation for her defeat?
Seriously, does anyone think that we’d be talking about the Russian threat to the integrity of our elections if Clinton had won?
Yes, bad press conference for President Trump. Another bad 48 hours for his critics who can’t control their irrational hatred.
My guess is that most Americans have tuned out most of this irrational anti-Trumpism, as CNN’s latest ratings confirm. 600,000 watching CNN in a nation of 320 million? Most of those 600,000 are poor souls stuck in airports!

Lieberman a sane voice in a party that is quickly going insane
We are happy to see this: "Lieberman slams Ocasio-Cortez, urges voters to pick Joe Crowley"
Former Senator Lieberman wrote an article about the young woman from the Bronx and her agenda, or as he calls it, "more Socialist than Democratic".
Frankly, I am not a fan of Representative Crowley but at least he understands our relationship with Israel.
Glad to see Senator Lieberman back on the saddle. He is a sane voice in a party that is quickly going insane.

Younger man same as the old man in Cuba
Well, reform is coming to Cuba or something like that. However, read the story and then it's a little different.
In other words, the new man is just like the old man, as we see in this report:
Cuba is set to adopt constitutional reforms that will recognize private property and the market economy, to update its legal system.
Yet it does not want to abandon socialism, which in Cuban terms values health care and education but also frowns upon differences in personal wealth.
So what's new? The answer is nothing.
Down in Cuba, communism will prevail and those connected to Castro Inc. will continue to get wealthy making money with all of those foreign investors that the regime wants to attract.

So President Obama goes to South Africa to talk about human rights and leaders who double down on their lies?
Our friend Bill Katz has an Obama-mania update:
Naturally, in the midst of all this international chaos, who should grace us with his rhetorical presence? Who else but the man got us into a lot of this, Barack (just call me Field Martial) Obama.So President Obama goes to South Africa to talk about human rights and leaders who double down on their lies?
And he chose to speak, not at home to an American audience, but to South Africa, a human-rights hellhole with one of the worst records of sexual violence against women in the world.
But why be bothered with that stuff? It was vintage Obama. Ring kissing is in order.....
I understand that President Obama spoke at the Mandela anniversary. However, South Africa has serious challenges, from basic human rights to high levels of poverty and violence against women and children.
Well, what can you say? We can say two things:
1) Obama mania is still ticking; and,
2) No Democrat running in a competitive election will quote the President's speech.
Obama is still Obama.

Soros disappointed with Obama?
Here is a strange headline: George Soros calls Obama ‘greatest disappointment,’ says he doesn’t ‘particularly want to be a Democrat’.
According to the story, Mr. Soros tried to get close to President Obama but he did not respond.
The story also confirms that Mr. Soros also invested heavily in Mrs. Clinton’s campaign.
