Partisan cynics gone wild
We saw this coming, or at least I did. The anti-Trump brigade went into full cynical mode during the meetings with North Korea, as Michael Goodwin pointed out:
This is a glorious day for cynics, especially lazy ones. It doesn’t take much effort to find loopholes, inconsistencies and other deficiencies in the agreement signed by President Trump and Kim Jong Un.Start with the fact that fulfilling the primary promise, denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, would involve such a vast physical, logistical and scientific undertaking that it’s easy to bet it will never happen, at least not all of it.
I would add that it’s a glorious day for partisan cynics. In other words, the same people who told us that Trump was going to start a nuclear war are now saying that he won’t denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.
Furthermore, it is a glorious day to go back and compare how Obama’s foreign adventures were treated by some in the media.
It reminds some of us of the Castro-Obama meetings of 2016. Did you ever hear anyone say that President Obama got nothing?
What about the Iran nuclear deal? Did you hear any of these people ask about all of that cash going to Iran?
Obama always got the benefit of the doubt but Trump never does! And they call this journalism?
Frankly, I don’t know what happens next. We may look back at the summit and see the beginning of something new or another failed effort with North Korea.
In the meantime, the cynics get more cynical and CNN keeps losing viewers.

Over the last few days, we saw Robert Di Niro go "f-word" on Live TV and Samantha Bee attack Ivanka Trump.
The very liberal Frank Bruni has a message for Democrats: "How to Lose the Midterms and Re-elect Trump"!
In other words, stop using 4-letter words, calling Trump a "Nazi" and acting like a bunch of idiots.

Why is anyone surprised that "foreign actors" had access to Secretary Hillary Clinton's emails?
Here is a headline: "'Foreign actors' accessed Hillary Clinton emails, documents show"!
Why is anyone surprised that "foreign actors" had access to Secretary Hillary Clinton's emails?
The answer may be her reckless use of a private server when she was Secretary of State. As we know, her actions were in violation of department procedures.

Why wasn't Comey fired by the Obama administration?
The ICG report came out and two things stand out:
1) "James Comey used Gmail for FBI business when director despite warning employees against it"; and,
2) "The report says Comey was “insubordinate” in his conduct of the probe....."
So Comey was not following FBI procedures and using a personal account to conduct FBI business?
Any FBI agent would have been fired for using a personal e-mail account or not following proper agency procedures.
Why wasn't Comey fired by AG Lynch or President Obama? It's hard to believe!
