Super Bowl 2008: It was the biggest NY football win since Jets beat Colts!

As I said before, I did not have a dog in the SB fight

After further review, it was the biggest NY football win since the Jets beat the Colts in Super Bowl 3!

Back then, the Colts were the NFL champs and expected to kill the young Jets from the upstart AFL.

The experts favored the Colts.

New York beat Baltimore and the AFL was here to stay.  Eventually, the leagues were merged and football interest grew incredibly.

Eli Manning is not Joe Namath. They are both southern boys but Joe likes publicity a lot more than the quiet Eli.

On the field, Eli can play. He can throw a pass. He can win a Super Bowl!

I'm happy for Giants' fans. I am specially happy for Eli Manning, a nice young man who was brutally attacked by the media dogs in NY!

2008 Super Bowl: Giants win!

We remember and say congratulations again to the New York Giants!

Who would have believed this a month before the big game? The Giants started 0-2 and they were ready to throw Coach Coughlin and Eli Manning out of NY.

I guess that this is why they play all 16 games and the postseason!

Let me say a word about the Patriots. They had a great year and 18-1 is nothing to feel bad about that.

It was a great and exciting game!

2008: Palin Derangement Syndrome and a couple of idiots in LA!

(A post from October 2008)

Palin Derangement Syndrome is alive and well near LA. (Effigy of Sarah Palin hanging by a noose creates uproar in West Hollywood)

When is something funny? When is something just plain sick? You can put me down as someone who thinks that this is sick.

Also, what if they did it to Obama?

Take it down. This is a disgusting way of celebrating Halloween. Why isn't this a hate crime?

Beyond the bad taste, this is another example of PDS and the American left.

The American left hates Sarah Palin because she had a baby rather than an abortion.

In '91, Clarence Thomas had to be lynched because he did not kiss Jesse Jackson's ring to get ahead in life.

In 2008, the feminists have declared war on Sarah Palin because she is not of them!

West Virginia is a good indicator of presidential elections!

John Denver had it right: Almost heaven, West Virginia

West Virginia is a beautiful state. It also has a knack for voting for the winner of presidential elections: FDR. Truman, Eisenhower, JFK, LBJ, Nixon, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush and Trump!    It did not vote for Obama and he won in 2008 & 2012.

Not bad for little West Virginia!

2009: A post about President Obama in Notre Dame!

(A post from May 2009)

On Sunday, Pres BO will speak at Notre Dame.

We are glad to see that 363,000 people have signed a petition. We are also happy to read this: Gallup: For the first time, more Americans are pro-life than pro-choice!

2008: Where are the allies in Afghanistan?

For some time, the left's favorite line is that Bush acted alone in Iraq.

Actually, he didn't.

There is a large coalition of countries in Iraq. Most of them do not actually fight.

In fact, the bulk of the fighting has been done by US and UK troops. Why? Because most of the coalition members do not have troops capable or prepared to fight a war.

What in the world is going on in Afghanistan? This is the Dems' favorite war. This is the one that we must win, according the Dems.

Who is going to call the allies and tell them to put troops on the battlefield.

So far, it is the US and the UK (sound familiar?). We should add that the Canadians are doing a great job and taking casualties.

Beyond the US, UK and Canada, everybody is sitting on the bench promoting the concept of multinational operations!

Does that make sense? It does not to the US voter, who is sick and tired of Europeans who talk a lot more than they are willing to fight.

Rick Moran has a great post today about all of this:
"If NATO won’t fight in Afghanistan, where will they fight? As Russia grows in strength and confidence under Vladmir Putin, the former satellites of the old Soviet Union who are now NATO members may start to wonder if the countries of western Europe will confront that menace if a showdown were to come.
With western interests and credibility at stake in Afghanistan and member states failing to answer the call, it is a legitimate question whether NATO would fight in the Baltic states or even in Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.'"
The West is not serious about fighting this terrible war. It's time for the allies to stand up or NATO will cease to be.
