They will do everything possible not to call it a "war" but we are heading back to Iraq, as my friend Ed Morrissey reports:
Apparently news has belatedly reached the White House that not only has the war not ended, but their strategy to defeat ISIS has just as much connection to reality as their earlier assessment.""Remember how Barack Obama ended the war in Iraq?
Frankly, I'm not opposed to sending ground troops to push back ISIS. It has to be done, specially given the vacuum that our so called "smart diplomacy" has left in the region.
I can't wait for President Obama to explain this one to "the yes we can" screamers who bought into the nonsense that leaders could end wars with a speech. I'm anxious to hear what Secretary Clinton will say about the decision.
Here is the sad part. We will lose US troops in this military action. We will suffer casualties because of a commander in chief who irresponsibly left the region to keep a silly campaign promise.
