The Rangers will compete for a wild card playoff

The consensus around here, and all of the major media outlets, is that the Rangers will be lucky to win 80 games.

I dissent.  My prediction is 85 wins and a chance for the second wild card.

Of course, I am assuming that this team will be healthy and not play with half of its players on the DL.

Finally, GM Jon Daniels is betting on his farm system.  He believes that the farm system will rise to the top over the next 1-3 years.

I think that he's right and so is Sports Illustrated:  They rank the Rangers and Cubs at the very top.

My message to Rangers' games.   Don't be surprised if the Rangers are playing meaningful games in September again.

On Saturday, we spoke with Dave Michaels about the 2015 Rangers:

Look for Big Backlash Against 'Gay Intolerance'

(My new American Thinker post)

As we enter week 2 of the "I don't want to bake your gay wedding cake" story, there are probably a lot of Democrat politicians wishing that this whole thing had never happened. My guess is that a lot of serious "gays" can't be pleased with it either!

We saw a lot of intolerance last week and it wasn't from the guy who didn't want to bake the cake.

I found this right on target from The Atlantic:
What do white evangelicals, Muslims, Mormons, blacks, conservative Republicans, and immigrants from Africa, South America, and Central America all have in common?
They're less likely to support gay marriage than the average Californian.
Over the years, I've patronized restaurants owned by members of all those groups.
Today, if I went out into Greater Los Angeles and chatted up owners of mom-and-pop restaurants, I'd sooner or later find one who would decline to cater a gay wedding.
The owners might be members of Rick Warren's church in Orange County.
Or a family of immigrants in Little Ethiopia or on Olvera Street.
Or a single black man or woman in Carson or Inglewood or El Segundo.
Should we destroy their livelihoods?

My guess is that most Americans don't want government telling them who to bake a cake for, whether it's a "Johnny loves Jimmy cake" or a cake mocking a religious figure like Jesus or Mohammed.  No one should be required by government to bake a cake that insults their religious beliefs!

And that's why this whole thing will blow up in the face of angry liberals from coast to coast.

Furthermore, I think that a lot of Americans are fed up with being called "bigots" or "homophobes" because they disagree with same sex marriage!

Finally, a lot of us are sick and tired of companies bashing Indiana but reaping profits in places where homosexuals are indeed thrown in jail for their sexual orientation.

Will Democrats now call on these companies to walk the talk?

The "gay lobby" scored first in this game but it was a short-term victory.  Frankly, Governor Pence was completely unprepared for the TV interview with ABC News and let the media set the narrative.

The rest of this game is going to be a lot different. You will now see a major backlash against the left for what they did to that "pizza girl" and their perverted definition of tolerance, i.e. agree with me or I will shut you down!

My message to the GOP: Support Indiana and religious freedom laws. The public is on your side.

My message to CEOs:  a lot of your customers, a lot more than you realize, believe that you are first-rate cowards for not standing to bullies.

P.S. You can hear my show (CantoTalk) or follow me on Twitter.   We discussed this issue and others on Sunday's show:
