The Dems are not talking about jobs or lousy public schools and that is why Hispanics are not voting in Dem primaries

District 33 was created in Texas to elect a Hispanic Dem but it elected an African American last Tuesday.

How did that happen?

First, let's give Mr Vessey some credit.  He is a very good candidate and Domingo Garcia is not.  Let's admit that Garcia is still carrying the leftist baggage of his younger days.

Nevertheless, Garcia enjoyed a huge Hispanic advantage.  The district is over 60% Hispanic but the voters did not turn out.  In fact, 20,000 voters bothered to vote in a new district and only 9,000 voted for Garcia.

What happened?  Why  are so many Hispanics so apathetic?

It starts with a massive disillusionment with Pres BO.  The campaign was all about promises but the presidency has been about blaming somebody else for the failures.

Hispanics are not stupid.  They know that Pres BO had 60 votes in the US Senate and a comfortable party lead in the House.

Pres BO can not continue to insult the intelligence of Hispanics by blaming the GOP that did not have the votes to stop anything.    Again, Hispanics are not stupid!

Hispanics get it and they know that the Obama presidency has been all about telling people what they wanted to hear and then doing nothing about it.

The US economy has hit Hispanic communities hard.  Unemployment is 11% and there is nothing that this administration has done to encourage employers to employ or job creators o create jobs.

The public schools are lousy in Hispanic districts.  This is why so many Dem elected leaders, like Pres BO, send their kids to private schools.

The schools are lousy because the teachers' union is in bed with the Dems and they are against reforms.

Last, but not least, there is too much talk about immigration.  Most Hispanics are here legally or were born here.  Immigration is not as important to them as it is to the Spanish media that relies on new arrivals to sell newspapers or listen to the radio.

So what do you do when the politicians in power don't address your needs?  You don't vote or stay home.

Or you vote for the other party and I hope that Romney is listening, specially with Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Susana Martinez and Brian Sandoval on his side.
