We remember Merle Haggard (1937-2016)

My introduction to Merle Haggard was listening to an interview with Larry Lujack, the famous Chicago DJ.   Lujack answered a question about his favorite music by saying "Merle Haggard".    It caught my attention and I began to listen to Haggard's music.

Haggard died April 6, 2016 or his 79th birthday.

Over many years, his songs were on country radio and on the top of the charts.

We remember Merle Haggard and thanks for the music.

"2001 the movie" released this week in 1968

Stanley’s Kubrick’s science-fiction classic 2001: A Space Odyssey made its debut in the US in 1968.   

To be honest, I did not see the movie until many years later.   

It was on TV the other night and it looks a lot better 50-something years later.   

Last, but not least, the musical introduction was fantastic!
