Gooden was 19 when he broke with the Mets in 1984. In 1985, he was 24-4 with a 1.53 ERA & 276 Ks.
He pitched with the Mets for 11 seasons: 157-85 with a 3.10 ERA. All together, he won 194.
Gooden had many off the field issues. Who knows how great he could have been?
