The Democrats have decided to defend Roe v. Wade at all costs, including unleashing the party’s most radical faces, slogans, and rhetoric. One example of the latter is the claim that Judge Brett Kavanaugh will threaten “reproductive rights.” Seriously, abortion is a reproductive right?
We saw some of this leftist madness last night and it’s only going to get worse. As in everything, their irrational reaction will backfire because most Americans reject that kind of language and talk.
No matter what happens with Judge Kavanaugh — and I believe that he will wearing a black robe by October — the problem with Roe v. Wade is technology. In other words, we know a lot more about that today’s babies that my mother knew about me or what I knew when my wife said she was pregnant.
The left’s biggest threat is that baby’s heartbeat — that little sound that confirms that there is something living inside the mother’s body, as Thomas Moore wrote:
The baby’s heart starts to beat at around 6 weeks. You may be able to hear – and see – your baby’s heart beat for the first time when you’re about 8 weeks pregnant if you have an early ultrasound exam.Otherwise, you’ll probably first hear it with a fetal Doppler at a regular prenatal care visit. So it’s not the Bible or the religious right that wants to take us “back to back-alley abortions,” but medical technology invented by the same millennial generation that gave us stuff like YouTube, that confirms that there is a life or a heartbeat inside the mother.
Thanks to technology, we know it’s a baby with a heartbeat. Therefore, the “it’s my body” argument now has a little heartbeat calling on the mother for a second opinion.
