In October '62, The Beatles finally walked into a studio to record a song.
Ringo Starr joined The Beatles because producer George Martin did not think that drummer Pete Best was good enough to play in the group's first record.
So they dropped Pete, a childhood friend who had been with John, Paul & George from day one. It had to be a painful moment for the guys who had been together since Liverpool!
Ringo was signed and talk about winning the lottery! Or being in the right place at the right time!
In less than 2 years, The Beatles were international superstars and the rest is history.
Ringo is 77 today.....and that's hard to believe!
