We remember Frank Malzone (1930-2015)

Frank Malzone was born on this day in the Bronx in 1930.   Eventually, he played for the Boston Red Sox.

Back in the 1950's, Frank was a very good third baseman and showed power:  .274 average, 133 HR & 728 RBI in 1,441 games.

Boston was not a good team during Frank's tenure.   He did not have a lot of protection in the lineup.   Frank was one of the inaugural class of inductees into the Red Sox Hall of Fame, in November 1995.
